The amount of reagent used helps calculate the concentration of the soluble salt. For example, using silver nitrate to titrate chloride ions in a solution.
6. Spectrophotometry: Soluble salts can be detected by their ability to absorb specific wavelengths of light. By measuring the light absorbance and comparing it to a standard curve, the concentration of the soluble salt in the solution can be determined.
7. X-ray Diffraction (XRD): This technique identifies and quantifies the crystalline components of a sample. Soluble salts can be dissolved, re-crystallized, and then analyzed using XRD to determine their purity and concentration.
